Hello, again, disloyal, silent, ungrateful wretched visitors.
Just kidding. I love you guys.
So, because bandwidth has finally become in issue for TAC (24 GB/month -- who'd'a thunk it?), I've taken and will continue to take some steps to minimize bandwidth usage.
What do I plan to do?
1.) The old Yu Yu Hakusho image gallery pages, that were just images on white background, with no credit to TAC, have been taken down, and replaced with black text redirecting the visitor to TAC's searchable Yu Yu Hakusho image gallery. Until the search engines stop linking to those pages, these have driven and will continue to drive a huge amount of yu yu hakusho fans to TAC's image galleries.
2.) The Yu Yu Hakusho image gallery (and, indeed, all the image galleries) will be getting a makeover sometime... this summer. I will be making them mySQL + PHP driven, and the Yu Yu Hakusho database, at least, will display actual thumbnail images instead of resized full-size images, as I hope to soon upgrade/move to a host with more bandwidth and disk space. They always give you disproportionately more disk space, though, so I'll take advantage of that by having PHP go through and make me some thumbnails to decrease overall bandwidth usage.
This will also make the addition of Pokemon and Yu Gi Oh CHARACTER image galleries painless and easy, along with the addition of new animes alltogether, which I hope to do, too.
3.) TAC's old site is still popular, wouldn't'ya know? However, it redirects all visitors to the new site, and most of the content people try to view (Yu Gi Oh articles, Pokemon Card of the Week articles, etc) aren't linked to clearly. I'll be removing the redirect and replacing it with a floating image along the bottom of the page announcing that this is TAC's OLD site, and the NEW one is here (click the image)
4.) I will be placing google ads and a link to the new and old TAC on all the pokemon episode guide pages, because they, too, are popular, but give no credit to TAC.
Just a heads-up. I'll post again when the databases are all updated.
EDIT: My host has been incredibly accommodating in this matter, and as such I feel, especially in light of not being able to find a single hosting company out there that can hold a candle to them despite my best efforts, that they deserve a plug here. I'll add their button to the main navigation bar someday when I get around to it, but for now:

I know from my site's statistics that there's several thousand of you visitors passing through here each month -- mostly on the Yu Yu Hakusho pages, meaning you probably never see the news. I'll try to update with some new YYH images sometime soon.
Also, if anyone who visits would like to Join TAC's forums, or just post a comment on one of the news items sayin' how you appreciate the site, that'd be awesome.
Don't make me put redirects on all the YYH image pages and old Episode guides and add framebreaking javascript to the page so people finding TAC via Google/Yahoo image searches get forcibly redirected to the news page... I want feedback! Gimme!

I fixed the bugginess with the news script. This was wierd. You know how it was working? Well, I haven't changed the files since it was first working... but I found 3 errors where previously there were none.
Freakin' wierd.
For those interested, the bug with the news was that the news ID field in the table where news items are stored was of type "TINYINT," and I needed that value to go ver 127.

TAC is second on google when one searches for "Cybernetic Revolution Card Scans," second only to PoJo's Yu-Gi-Oh page, which doesn't even have any cybernetic revolution card scans. Just thought I'd let everyone know.
And later today, there will be more CRV card scans up, too!

9 new Yugioh and Pokemon card scans, Yugioh from the new set "Cybernetic Revolution," for which I attended a sneak-preview event. Everyone who played in the event got a promotional card "Embodiment of Apophis," from the new YuGiOh TV series, Yugioh GX.
I scanned and uploaded a cybernetic revolution booster pack, embodiment of apophis, and 7 other cards. I'll work my way through all the cards I got at the event (14 packs, and *almost* all the cards in the set) over the next few weeks...
The pokemon front isn't as cheery, though... Only one weeks' worth of cards left before I have to start going through my binder. (which might not actually be a bad thing; there are plenty of cards in there that ordinarily never would have been scanned ^_^)

Update: I checked around (read: searched on google), and as far as I can tell, I am the FIRST website to have scans of the new cybernetic revolution cards up! Weee!

Well, this week's card scans are up, 9 new Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh.
I've also bought 2 more structure decks, another Fury from the deep and another Blaze of destruction, and put together two fairly good casual-play decks.
(The water one is better, currently; I haven't quite decided whether I want the fire to go for direct damage via magic (meteor of destruction), via passive monster effects (solar flare dragon), active monster effects (cannon soldier), or card destruction (thestalos the fire monarch, neclace of command, etc), so it's not currently all that coherent.)
But, MAN is the water deck fun. I got a set of flame and water pattern card covers for each deck.
I now need a new set for my tournament deck... the card covers smell funny. Probably comes from playing at Dairy Queen.

Well.... Looks like I won't be getting any new card scans up this week... *sigh* However I'll be done with my summer job by the end of this week, and I may be getting some Yu Yu Hakusho CARDS to scan in.
Also, starting next monday, I've got four weeks of nothing until I go back to school (._.)
During that time, I intend to get card, character, and other image sections up and filled for POKEMON, YU YU HAKUSHO, AND YU GI OH.
So... patience.
Also, I only bought one pokemon booster pack last week, and didn't get enough new cards (because some of the commons repeat) to scan in nine new ones.

For the first time in TAC's history, I ran out of bandwidth before the month was up!
What this means is that enough people visited TAC so that TEN GIGABYTES of data were downloaded (10 GB is my limit per month).
This means that TAC is growing, which makes me very happy.
However, In order to prevent this from happening again, I have paid $4 this month for an extra 3GB of transfer (150 MB of which has already been used), and will be upgrading my hosting package to 25 GB/month in an effort to prevent this from happening again in the forseeable future.
All this extra bandwidth will double the cost of hosting TAC. Just letting everyone know. ^_^ Love you, thanks for visiting!

New Pokemon And Yugioh Card Scans; I'm working on scanning in the cards from the two new yugioh structure decks. Pokemon cards are from the "ex: emerald" set.
Yugioh cards will now have the three-letter abbreviation of their set at the end of their names; for example Vampire Lord SD2 (Vampire Lord from the 2nd structure deck)

Heh, this is the fifth time I've used this title or a similar title but with different capitalization/punctuation. Anyway, here's what's new this week:
Structure Deck Front and Back of two new Structure Decks:
Blaze of Destruction and
Fury from the Deep
I was disappointed in Blaze of Destruction; it has some nice direct-damage cards, but the reason I buy structure decks is for the common versions of rare cards such as creature swap, tribe-infecting virus, pot of greed, etc. BoD had very few of those. Fury from the Deep had plenty, though, and I was quite pleased.
I also bought 2 booster packs each from the 3 most recent Yugioh sets: Flaming Eternity, Dark Revelation, and the Lost Millenium. I scanned the booster packs in.
On the Pokemon front, an -ex: Emerald booster pack.
Overall, I renamed all booster pack images so they were consistent; searching Pokemon or Yugioh for "boosterpack" will now turn up all available booster pack images, and they are labelled with which set they're from.
Over the rest of the summer, I'll be scanning in my cards, and uploading 9 new ones hopefully twice a week. Your sunday update was the booster packs and structure decks. Cards later on in the week! Thanks for visiting!

YES! School FINALLY ended! I shall be attending my weekly Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament at my local card store (and getting some LONG-overdue new Pokemon and Yugioh Cardscans) starting 3 sundays from now.
Why 3? Because for the first two I'm in HAWAII! Yes, Gengar's going to Hawaii. Now that school's over and summer's here, I will try to get back on at LEAST once-weekly updates of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards, and may have time to add a Pokemon and Yugioh CHARACTER IMAGE DATABASE.
Many thanks to everyone who's visited during this end-of-school period of no updates, and I promise, I'll make it up to you (as soon as I'm back from Hawaii... =^_^=)

Finals are coming up in two weeks for me, which means next week is to be spent studying, then I take the finals... Then I go to Hawaii for a week!

So updates will be scarce again. I am working on server-side admin php scripts to make the site easier for me to run, but you guys probably won't get to see that... A peek into the future though, reveals searchable Pokemon and Yugioh CHARACTER image databases in the future. Once summer starts and I have weeks of no school, I should be able to crank those out in just a few days and start populating the character galleries.
Also, I'll be reorganizing the navigation bar to accompany audio and video as well. More on that as I figure out exactly what I'll be putting up.

If you surf over to the Pokemon image gallery, in the sprites section you'll notice that there are some new icons: Ruby/Sapphire sprites from behind for all Pokemon (behind=what you see when YOU use the pokemon in battle) in both shiny and normal versions, plus R/S berry sprites and all the sprites of the trainers from ruby/sapphire.
In the icons section, I added all the Ruby/Sapphire/Fire Red/Leaf Green mini-icons of Pokemon that you see when you go Start>Pokemon in-game. They're not animated, though.

Finally got around to updating. You'll find 9 new Pokemon cards from the Deoxys set, 9 new Yugioh cards from my collection of commons, and 9 new YYH images in the galleries. Enjoy!
On a side note, I've not had time to go to my local cardstore's tournament in the past weeks, and probably won't for the next few weeks either. This means that the new cardscans won't be very exiting; I'll be digging through my boxes of commons for cards I haven't scanned yet. I will take a rare out of my binder for each update until I start attending my tournament again, though, and scan that rare, just so you guys have *something* shiny to look at.
Aaaand now the big news: TAC is ... well... getting a major update! When, we don't know (Probably after the first month after my school gets out for summer)
1.) TACemon are coming back to the forums! For those of you who remember TACemon, rejoice! Those of you who are thinking "what's a TACemon," wait and see! You'll like them, I promise!
2.) TAC's online store has gotten a facelift and a bunch of new products, with more on the way. Keep checking!
3.) TAC will be bringing back its top sites list, but with a twist: They will be the aniMEDIA topsites, listing only sites devoted to anime media. When somebody tries to join, I, Gengar003, will check their site out and either approve or disapprove.

I added a lil google adsense banner under the navbar; I think it blends in fairly well with the site and hopefully isn't too tacky. I may make some money from that; everyone who clicks that helps me out a lil' bit financially....

Finally! Got new Pokemon and Yugioh cards, from two new sets: Flaming Eternity (ygo), and Deoxys (pkmn). Also, there are two Yugioh STRUCTURE decks out in english:
Dragon's Roar (front|back)
Zombie Madness (front|back)
In the structure decks, there are tons of formerly-rare cards, like torrential tribute, snatch steal, heavy storm, vampire lord (!!), in COMMON FORM. I got the decks for $10 each at my local card store; the price probably won't go much above that. Any beginning or intermediate players looking for a quick boost in deck strength: BUY THESE. Probably the absolute best $20 you could spend in improving your deck.

On the Pokemon front, I got 2 boosters from the new DEOXYS set. If you remember in the -ex sets they always put in one guaranteed holographic card, but it reverse-holo, and usually a common? Well in the deoxys set, the guaranteed holo has gotten a MAJOR facelift, with its own special holofoil style, and they are all RARE. EVERY DEOXYS PACK comes with a guaranteed FOIL RARE card.

I'm so sorry! That update I promised never came! Well, I'm on spring break now; no school 'till the monday AFTER this monday. ^_^ So I WILL be going to my yu-gi-oh tournament, and getting lotsa new pokemon and yugioh cards... if I have money. AT LEAST I will have nine new of each. Best you could hope for would be three updates over the course of my spring break.

Well, there are more new card scans, of old cards though... Base set, Rocket, and Jungle. Yugioh cards are from 2-3 sets ago.
Reason being, other events in my life have kept me from being able to go to my weekly Yu-Gi-Oh tournament at my local card store and get more cards. Those same events have been hampering my ability to scan and upload new cards. I'll try to get back on the new-cards-every-other-day schedule, but It'll be hard.
Also, I will be missing my tournament AGAIN this Sunday... so get your hopes up for the one after that.

Well, Sunday's the day I go to my local cardstore for their Yu-Gi-Oh tournament, and as such I always have some new and interesting cards on sundays... Today I scanned some Pokemon -ex: Hidden Legends theme deck cards, including Dark Celebi
I also bought 2 Yu-Gi-Oh booster packs from the Rise of Destiny set, and among other things, got Divine Wrath and Chain Burst
Chain burst is a special rare card; A rare type new in Rise of Destiny, I believe. The card's holofoil on special rares has texture; it's raised up a little bit. This also seems to reflect my scanner's lamp a lot better, making it almost imposible to scan the card. You'll notice the scan of chain burst is really horrible... and that's AFTER 30 minutes of photoshopping it. Divine wrath is a super rare, so it just scanned like a normal foil card. (Which still isn't all that good)

8 new Yugioh cardscans, all from Rise of Destiny set, with some of the NEW DARK BEGINNINGS 1 SET to be scanned tomorrow.
9 new Pokemon cardscans, from the "Team Aqua vs Team Magma" set. Hopefully, my local cardstore will stock Team Rocket Returns after the holidays, and I'll be able to get some of those.
Also, the Yu Yu Hakusho image gallery is NOW SEARCHABLE! You can search by character name, or by "newest additions," just like the other galleries. Yu Yu Hakusho fans, enjoy!

More new cardscans... Mostly Hidden Legends set of Pokemon, and the Yugioh scans were mostly Invasion of Chaos.
I have semester finals for the next three days, so don't expect much work to get done.. but once they're over, its CHRISTMAS BREAK!!!!!
That means the Yu Yu Hakusho image gallery will be getting some new images and it will be made SEARCHABLE. ALSO, the Yugioh and Pokemon sections will get some CHARACTER images, ALSO searchable.

Well, theres new cardscans, Including Pokemon cards from -ex: Team Aqua vs Team Magma and Neo Discovery (and more!) and Yu-Gi-Oh cards from Magician's force (Finished my booster box).

Well, as I said before, my new scanner is different from my old one, but I figured it out.... My old scanner, I'd just push a button, and the cards would scan in fine... 150 dpi resolution.
On the new one, I have to set the dpi. So I set it to 150, but they came out looking a little iffy... I figured this was due to the auto-sharpening of the scanned images, so I turned sharpening off.... now I swear, it's as if the scanner decided to do it anyway, because what could a human know about the fine art of sharpening scanned images?
Solution: Insted of scan in 9, cut 'em out and save, I scan in 9, cut 'em out and shrink 'em from 300 dpi to 150 dpi, which solves the funny-looking problem. More work for me, but better quality for you. Happy?

I scanned in some new Pokemon -ex: Hidden Legends and Fire red/Leaf green images, to search for Fire red/Leaf green by set, type in "frlg," just like Ruby/Sapphire is "rs"
Also, new Yugioh cardscans from Magician's force and Rise of Destiny.
A note about these new cards: I'm still experimenting with my new scanner, so the quality varies among them... hopefully it'll get back up to its old standards soon.
I'm going to try to do one scanner-bed-full (9 cards) of Pokemon and Yuigoh each day until I have no more, and I'm going to make the Yu Yu Hakusho database searchable.

Well, I finally got around to it. TAC has a new layout and a new purpose. It shall convey Pokemon,Yugioh, Yu Yu Hakusho, and eventually maybe other anime's IMAGES to the world.

In the coming days I will be stepping up my efforts to add images, scanning in many new Pokemon cards (From sets Hidden Legends, Fire Red/Leaf Green, and ex Team Rocket Returns, which I personally cannot WAIT for to come out), Yu-Gi-Oh cards (From the new set, Rise of Destiny, and especially Magician's Force, which I bought a booster BOX of. Wooo that wasn't cheap.)

Well, I got an XboX with Halo2 and Crimson Skies and XboX Live... go me.
Regarding TAC's failed attempt at rebirth... stay tuned for another failure (Okay, not a "failure" per se, more like a "false start") followed by success.
And... happy Thanksgiving!
Oh, one more thing... I have decided that I shall make TAC known across the internet for its fine collection of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards. As such, once I get home (I'm visiting relatives for Thanksgiving) I shall step up my efforts in scanning in new cards (I got a neato Printer/Scanner/Copier thing, it can scan up to 1200 dpi, as opposed to my old scanner's 150 :-)).
So, enjoy.
Ah, but I can't seem to finish, can I? On the car trip out to the relatives, I watched the 4th Pokemon movie, Pokemon 4ever, on my laptop (Oh, I got a laptop, too, though that was back in June. I don't remember if I posted that here.... It's a nice laptop.)
Right I guess I'll break out of parenthesis to talk about my laptop. It's an IBM G40, 2.4 Gigahertz pentium 4 Processor... most laptops would break if you hit someone over the head with them. Mine would knock the person out. Its power adapter is the size of a brick ^_^
Where was I... 4th Pokemon movie. Anyway, I liked it. I'm going to watch the fifth one on the trip back, and hopefully I'll get Mewtwo Returns for Christmas. (I'm woefully behind on the Pokemon movies.... Curse... every other aspect of my life. Oh well)
Yeaaah... that's enough update for now. I don't even know if my browser will submit this, I typed so much.

TAC is on teh verge of rebirth. In less than a month, probably, TAC will have a new layout, and a new design. TAC will not try to be popular or anything; it will be MY site about what I like. So far, there will be four areas:

Yu Yu Hakusho -- NEXT!
Ragnarok Online -- Haven't started

Well, TAC's gonna move back to the old server; the new host isn't as great as they should be...
And the forums died. They'll be back in vb3-goodness sometime after school ends (2 weeks from tomorrow)
Until then, TAC will continue stagnating... I must admit I've gotten kind of tired of the constant attention it requires, and as I cannot find any truly comitted staff members... something will change.

Well, I got this week's Pokémon episode up, and updated the "next on KidsWB" bar, but that's all... no COTW for this week.

Well, it's about time... I've got a four-day easter weekend (yay) so I'll finally be updating.
First order of business was updating the "Next On Kids WB" bar off to the right; take a look now.
Next, I'm going to go do the most redcent Pokémon Advanced Episode Guide, "Turning over a Nuzleaf," along with a Pokémon Card of the Week. I've e-mailed the Yugioh COTW to DestinyMaster, and hopefully that will be up this weekend, unless he's gone out of town, which is still okay. ^_^
And, if I'm lucky, i'll have the a.) time and b.) willpower to get started on the webstats php script I've been wanting to write; it will let you see how many people have visited each page of TAC.

Sorry 'bout that recent downtime; my host had a hardware problem and they were installing a replacement, so I'm told. Anyway, no word from Destiny Master about the Yu-Gi-Oh! Card of the week yet; DM, if you haven't got anything, lemme know and I'll re-send it and spank my e-mail system.
Also, update on image galleries: Pokémon Image Gallery has been categorized, and a Yu-Gi-Oh! Image gallery has been created. The main thing to note is that TAC'S CARD DATABASES ARE NOW SEARCHABLE there's even a basic search-ranking feature. Go try 'em out. (click "image gallery" under Pokémon or Yu-Gi-Oh!)
Dat's all. I hope to get some of the yu-gi-oh! decks that've been submitted up soon... but not likely. *sigh*
Update: Updated Yu-Gi-Oh CotW reviews #9 and #10 based on new rulings from Uppder Deck -- Infernalqueen Archfiend's effect only lasts until the End Phase, and Spell Shield Type 8 requires the discard of a Spell/Magic card for its 2nd effect.

I apologize for the ugly poll; I'll make it look nicer soon (this weekend), but I really wanted to get it up, because I want to know why people visit...
I'm working on a Pokémon Fire Red/Leaf Green section, and when that's done, I'll hopefully start on Ruby/Sapphire and Yugioh Dark Duel Stories and Eternal Duelist Soul and Battle City -- Worldwide edition... yikes! That's a lot! Fortunately, spring break is coming up...

(i.e, make it searchable, etc.) And I forgot to watermark the new cards I uploaded... Oh, well. I'll get 'em next time.

And, I updated the right nav bar to show next week's episodes, which brings me to another point -- NEW LAYOUT! WHOOPEE!
That's right, TAC now has a golden team-aqua-ish layout. I checked it in 1024x768 screen size (mine) and it works fine, and also in 800x600 (rest of the world), and it works fine there, too, though there is a slight problem on the news page -- it, for some unknown reason, doesn't resize as it should; the "refresh" in the upper-right corner has the "sh]" or so cut off. Wierd, but who's gonna refresh the news page anyway? (HA! I'll bet you clicked the button just to spite me! I rule your mind! Muauaha...? Oh, sorry.)

Well, not the happiest of news in the world, and it doesn't have much to do with the site.
I'm going blind.
Today, I visited an optometrist because my vision was obscured, my retina are destroyed. I'll be heading to a laser surgeon first thing in the morning to him to take a look at my eyes, and see whether or not he can stop it from spreading. Some rare disease has effected my retina, and basically ate holes into them. Just thought I'd let you guys know what's been up...

Well, my built-in web stats thingie that came with my hosting account, while incredibly informative, can't deal with the "?a=blah blah blah" that I use to determine pages now (As in "index.php?a=newsdat" and "index.php?a=epguide" instead of news.shtml and epguide.shtml), so, if I want to be able to see which pages are the most popular, I'm gonna have to write my own script to do it!!! So far, I know this about it:
-It'll use a mySQL database (Unless I'm up for a challenge... but that doesn't happen much on weekdays.)
-It'll keep track of hits/week for each page of TACorner.com
-It'll be accessible to everyone
-It'll even show a page's hits in the footer, if I want it to. And I do.
-It might even display users currently online TOTAL and PER PAGE
Sound neat? Once I get it working, I'll adapt it for use on any php website, then I'll put it and the Mailing List script I wrote on the php scripts page.

There's a V-day themed splash page, and I added lotsa new Yu Yu Hakusho images to the gallery, in addition to giving Genkai her own page.
And that's really all... I was home sick yesterday, and for part of today.
Oh, yeah. TAC keeps movin' up the ranks in Suta-raito's topsite, we's number 13 now!! ^_^ And today is Friday the 13th! Wierd.
Also, Yu Yu Hakusho is the most common thing that draws people to TAC from search engines, the top searches being
1. Yu Yu Hakusho images (10.2% of all Search engine traffic to TAC)
2. Yu Yu Hakusho episode guide (7.2%)
3. Yu Yu Hakusho Character bios (4.7%)
And so on. Among the top 25 searches that lead to TAC, 3 are Yu-gi-oh-related (Jinzo, Monster Reborn and Change of Heart, combined percentage is 1.6%) and 4 are Pokémon-related (Pokémon Episode Guides, Beautifly, Lotad, and Pokémon Image Gallery, combined percentage being 6.1%)

Got a new Yu-Gi-Oh! COTW, thanks to Destiny Master... I don't know what I'd do without him. You've saved the day, my man! I personally have nothing new -- too much homework. I did get this Saturday's Pokémon episode guide recorded, though, so I'll hopefully get that and the Pokémon COTW up sometime this week.
Got some Yu-Gi-Oh! Info, too. I came in 2nd in my local tournament today, so kudos to me. Anyway, found some stuff out.
"Butterfly Dagger - Elma", "Magical Scientist", "Reflect Bounder", and "Vampire Lord" are now Limited Cards.
"Morphing Jar" is now Semi-Limited instead of Limited.
"Backup Soldier" & "Limiter Removal" are no longer limited

And, um... *thinks* Oh, yeah. TAC is back on the S-R (Suta-Raito) Top 30!!! (Which Gengar003 considers a definite measure of TAC's success. The lower his #, the happier he his.) Ranking it at #29, I took a screenie and pasted in the button, too.

^_^;;; Heh... I hope that this new spot will cause more people to visit, causing a higher ranking, causing more visits, and so on... And I hope for a Pokémon COTW and Yu-Gi-Oh! Episode guide staff... *sigh*
Anyway, I'm happy. And, TAC gets ~ 80 different VISITORS each day. VISITORS are people, HITS are pageviews. HITS can be faked, VISITORS can't. I'm so proud of TAC. I thought it only got ~30 visits/daily. My, how we've grown.

First off, there's Pokémon Advanced Episode #18 - On a Wingull and a Prayer!
Then we've got a new Yu-Gi-Oh! Article: Combo #3
Finally, a new Yu-Gi-Oh! COTW. Destiny Master has had the yugioh COTW responsibility fully bequeathed unto him. (Meaning I won't be reviewing them anymore) Sorry guys, I just don't have that much time... though over the summer I'll be back. The COTW is: Butterfly Dagger - Elma!
Pokémon COTW coming soon... Fossil Gengar it will be.
